Santee’s fee schedule effective July 1, 2026 prices single-phase electrical service at $55.44 per 100 amps. Keil Electric’s Santee panels page covers Federal Pacific, Zinsco and Challenger panels and shows CA License 1109913.
What the utility actually wrote
Confirm the logo on the bill before anyone prices the job.
Santee’s building page says a SolarAPP job that includes a main panel upgrade needs an SDG&E work order.
SDG&E’s active community-choice list names Clean Energy Alliance and San Diego Community Power cities, and Santee is on neither.
The August 2026 Electric Rewire fact sheet is the nearest SDG&E document to a panel swap that we found. Start at sdge.com/apply-service, and an SDG&E Project Manager then issues a service/work order with the approved meter location and any fees.
On a same-location job, the SDG&E crew disconnects the meter and service in the morning. The city carries out the inspection that day and tells SDG&E the work is complete by 2:00 p.m. so service comes back.
When the panel moves, SDG&E’s order is to install at the approved location first, then pass the final city inspection, which the city reports to SDG&E within 2 business days. SDG&E reconnects at the new spot after that.
The sheet does not give a total outage time.
Permits for a Santee address
Planning and Building files electrical work from Building 4 at 10601 Magnolia Avenue.
Who pulls the permit matters. If the owner pulls it, Santee will not issue the permit until the Owner Builder Form is read, initialed, signed and returned. An agent of the owner cannot sign that notice without the city’s prior approval.
All submittals go through the Santee Permitting and Licensing Portal. Paper plans are no longer accepted, and the city is not offering expedited review.
The city’s Electrical permit covers modifications to existing or new electrical panels. Online applications can take 3 business days.
The consolidated fee schedule effective July 1, 2026 prices Single Phase Service at $55.44 per 100 amps. Stand Alone Electrical Plan Check is $221.79 an hour.
Keil’s Santee page prints 1109913. The contractor license on the permit should read the same.
Price, without inventing one
The $55.44 per 100 amps on Santee’s schedule buys the permit. Installation is priced by shops. Overhead service runs $3,500 to $5,500 on Landers’ Bonsall page, and RCH’s Fallbrook page opens a 100A to 200A upgrade at $5,500. Neither page names Santee.
Look up 1109913 on CSLB’s Instant License Check. That same C-10 is printed on Keil’s Santee page. The 11/2/2026 CSLB entry for KEIL ELECTRIC LLC reads current and active, with C10 Electrical as the class and 09/30/2027 as the expiration. Policy EIG614837201 covers workers’ compensation from 09/10/2026 to 09/10/2027, per CSLB, and the carrier is Employers Compensation Insurance Company. The two shop pages above are used for their printed prices only.
The listed shop is not affiliated with Panel Letter.
What to hand the carrier
Start with the closed electrical record exported from the Santee portal, where the inspector’s result is logged. Include the invoice from Keil only when it carries 1109913. Panel photographs go in only if the carrier’s letter lists them, and a panel schedule if the shop has one.
Anything else the carrier’s letter names goes in as well.
